TOMATILLO PLANTS

Tomatillos are a relative of the tomato family that make a great tasting salsa. Plant about 24 to 36 inches apart when the soil has warmed. Tomatillos prefer full sun. Use a cage or trellis when space is limited.

Amarylla Tomatillo

-This wonderful Tomatillo comes from Poland.

-Green fruits morphing to pretty yellow as they ripen and begin to split from their protective husks. 

-Firm, very juicy fruit that are perfect for jams, jellies and salsa. 

-Great for fresh snacking and salads. 

-Very hardy.  60 days. 

 Green Tomatillo Plant

-Ancient Mexican relative of the tomato.

-Prolific busy plants 

-Flavour like a mildly sweet unripe green tomato and a tiny bit spicy.

-Key ingredient in Salsa. Makes traditional Mexican Green sauce.

-Delicious grilled, great in stir-fries and salads.

-2 inch husked fruit and 3 to 4 foot plant. 

-Mid season.
